some hot-shot guy in Hollywood (I missed his name) who was an agent or something like that, was being interviewed on this topic. Anyhow, his comments alluded to the fact that if actors want to be the *STARS* in this business, they have to expect the press to be following them. The two go hand in hand.

When I think about it, the faces you see in magazines, tabloids, etc. are also the ones getting the big parts. Somehow, I got the impression that it worked both ways. If you wanted to be private in your life, the big roles wouldn't be coming your way--sort of a "catch 22" thing and if you got the big parts, you had to deal with the photographers and tabloids.
