I think my title is self-explanatory, but it really is a shame that some people can't differentiate between character and actor. What would they do, relegate him to spoofing himself on comedy shows as Mulder? I am surprised that fans of Mulder - if they truly are fans of Mulder - can't just allow the character to live in his own universe. I have always thought how very *Mulder* Mulder is. (And how *un*like Mulder DD is) So it's not difficult to keep them apart. I wish DD well and I'm happy to see him be someone else other than Mulder.

As to his appearance in Sex in the City - if that turns out to be true, that's quite lucky for me, because one of our free to air terrestrial channels here in the UK, Channel 4, shows SATC so I should get to see him. :-) He's good at comedy, I'm sure you'd agree.
