Funny, but I never thought of TXF as sci-fi though I suppose if one *had* to categorise it, it would loosely fall into that sort of area. Anyway, I agree with Det that the genre is badly served for awards. Star Wars didn't win best picture in 1977, even though it was a massive achievement and has since become one of the most highly regarded films. (Yes, I know it was the year of Annie Hall, so I can sort of see, but I still have a point, I think!) I am a fan of 'Star Trek: The Next Generation' and there were two or three episodes of that which I would have given Patrick Stewart awards for, but he didn't get one. Drama is drama, no matter what the genre, so I think it's high time some actors got picked out for special mention. I do take the point, though, about a series getting past its prime and if the lead actors haven't got there in the first two or three seasons, they won't stand a chance.
