As I've often said, I never see or hear much about DD and/or the family. I think I asked a while back if there were any pics of the kids because I was curious as to what they might look like. I actually wondered on and off about that family and how by keeping a low profile, they would not suffer from the usual hollywood effects. But when I heard about DD's sex addiction I then thought how Tea might feel about that.

One of my questions to myself was what exactly does it mean to be a sex addict? Does it mean that he's been out and about doing it with anyone who'll stop still long enough? Or...does it mean buying lots of DVDs and magazines and taking care of things himself? Or...hassling his wife for it too much? I've never heard of it before now. Also I would like to know just how does one treat a person with a sex addiction? What kinds of therapy does such a clinic offer? I think it was obvious in XF that Mulder had a similar problem due to DD's influence on the character as there were a number of things mentioned that would make me not surprised that DD suffers [if in fact they actually do suffer] from this condition.

Sad for the kids, yes, but I think Dad's sex addiction spashed all over the headlines would be far more damagig to them than parents splitting up, particularly if it's amicable. And as for Tea keeping it quiet... it's easier to say your husband had an affair or gambled all your money or hit you or was a drug addict etc, than to admit that he is a sex addict. That's a bit more embarrassing than some of the other reasons.

I'd like to see them back together now that he's released or at least living nearby and co-raising the kids. I always thought they would be one of the families that would make it. I hope they still can.
