Subject: Bummed

I am so disappointed in Cerulean Sins. I adore Laurell and the other books, but this was full of incomplete story lines that were not fully developed and I am bummed. Did she really need to jump into bed with everyone? I liked the sexual tension aspect of her and the thought of the others lusting after her, not her being a back alley sally. Sigh*maybe Laurell can make amends in the next book.

I understood the need for all the sex, though its truthfully not my favorite aspect of the book either. When you look at it from the angle of LKH adding a "handicapp" to what used to be celebate Anita instead of all the "pull a new power out of her butt" developments, the angst over dealing with ardeur would be it. (And I have to say, I really didn't mind Ash "getting some" all that much. I really DID love that part of the book.)

Again, my biggest disappointment was the sloppy chop shop job done on the mystery plotline. And honestly speaking, if the original 750 pages LKH wrote were restored, we'd probably get a better idea of what went on with all those under-developed storylines and characters. I hold the publishing company/editors solely responsible for that flub-up. Not LKH.

I still have hope for the next book.
