Subject: CS Cover

Ok. I have got to ask. The final cover they chose for CS is a woman's leg in heels with a rose tatoo. Personally I liked the "vagina flower spider" better, but who am I to criticize? On the other covers, i was able to easily figure out who the half naked woman was, but months later I am still baffled by this tatooed lady. I know it can't be this difficult, but it's just the little things like this that come out of nowhere (or so I think) that just bug the hell out of me. Who does this mysterious limb belong to?

I kinda liked the vagina spider one, too. Although I heard that originally LKH wanted hands wrapped in movie film. Before the editor hacked the book to bits, there was actually an establishment in CS called Cerulean Sins. A lycanthrope porn shop. It was cut in favor of more sex.

i've pondered that mystery too. best i can figure, the cover is full of symbology, and not meant to be a particular limb of a character. i always figured the rose tattoo was a symbol of belle morte, b/c when she does her heeby jeeby thing with anita it leaves behind the scent of roses. maybe its actually supposed to be anita's leg, with the mark of belle morte, b/c bm did give her the first mark. and don't forget the non-functional, but kick ass sharp tipped stiletto!
