Upstairs

In the back of the tavern, a staircase is accessable. The stairs are wooden and well-worn, but servicible. The upstairs is revealed as a long hallway, doors on either side. Inside each door is a room, sparsely but adequately furnished. A bed of varying size, a chair, and a small cabinet is the only furniture present in each, agumented by a stone fireplace in some and fur rugs in others.

Callused fists rub the sleep from his eyes, and is greeted with a strange site: three women, one of which he has not been acquainted with, and his brother asleep on the floor. Who is this woman, and why is she here? He sits upright, groping for a dagger, should she prove dangerous... ::

Bran sighs slightly, feeling a few more tears for his lost love drop back onto the pillow. He rubs away the tears, and gets up from his bed. He dresses swiftly and stretches a bit, trying to get used to the healed wounds. He yawns, a heavy weight resting in his heart. He stretches his neck, determined to ignore it. Today was another day, and he wanted to live. He opens his door, looking over with cloaked interest at the company surrounding two guys. Bran shrugs lightly and walks down the stairs, taking them two at a time...

Woman enters, about the age of 25, long blonde hair falls past her shoulders over her midnight blue dress. Sapphire eyes search for those named Conrad and Conlyn. Finding their door slightly open, she enters. "My lords," she murmers, sinking into a curtsy, "I have traveled far to retrieve an item I believe belonged to you once," eyeing their injuries she adds, "Perhaps you might allow me to heal you as well."

The upstairs swam before his eyes, increasing his headache and making him realize just how much pain he was in. Broken arm clutched to his side, he continued intrepidly, leaning often against the wall, sometimes falling. He continued to the nearest room, banging the door open with his uninjured shoulder, finding this to be the room in which his brother slept. Having little strength left he turned to depart, falling in the process, and there he remained. ::..

:: He reached the top of the stairs, already weary. Resigned, he looked about with muddled curiosity, wondering which room he was supposed to go to. A thought occured to him, and he turned suddenly to look for his brother, and almost fell as a wave of dizziness hit him. Well, Conlyn would have to make it on his own; he couldn't help, and it wouldn't do to fall down the stairs... they must heal quickly, if they were ever to get it back... ::

Reaching the top of the stairs, she gazes around, trying to find her room. Finding the right one, she walks to it unlocking the door and entering. Once inside she closes the door behind her. She glances around the room, noting the neatness of the room furnished with a bed, dresser, and chair by the fireplace. She concentrates with her mind, causing flames to errupt in the fireplace. She removes her coat and hangs it up. She sits down in the chair and removes her braid, allowing her long brown hair to cascade past her shoulders to her lower back. She sighs and beginst to brush her hair, quietly humming to herself.

Bran reaches the upstairs and finds his room. He enters the key into the lock and enters, noting the few furnishings and fireplace. He stumbles over to the bed and collapses onto his stomach on it. As soon as his head barely reaches the pillow, sleep finds him and takes him into the deepest of rests, away from nightmares and emotions.
