I have a problem with my video display adapter and I cannot change even to 256 colors (it stays at 16 colors). I have a 5-year old computer, and the computer supplier did not include the cd for the drivers except for the modem and screen. They are bankrupt as well. In the hardware setup, it shows Matrox MGA Ultima Impression PCI (no driver). I chose it from Windows 98, but it says (for even the standard drivers listed) that it is not compatible. I chose the standard Super VGA. Regular VGA gave me no option at all. Anyway, no matter how many times I tried to uninstall and re-install drivers, I still have no other ability than to choose 16 colors. Is there a driver, a web site, or tip on getting the right driver and being able to use true color (32-bit)? Please let me know. Thanks.
