Subject: Intensive Hydration For Nails

Intensive hydration for nails is a must this time of year if you want to maximize results or maintain established results. HAPPY NEW NAILS will only be grown if winter care is consistent and if enough product is used to maintain necessary hydration levels. New clients to Amera, whose nails are dry, damaged, or on the verge of becoming dry, need intensive hydration to minimuze winter and spring breakage. Here are some tips to increase hydration levels in nails while the Cuticle Mousse is beginning to concentrate in, around, and under the nails. This sequence can be done anytime of the year:

l. Cleanse the nails with Amera's gentle Cleanser and
Remover using a gauze square.
2. Immediately wash hands with Creme de Vuee using the
Hand & Nail Brush under nails.
3. Pat hands dry with a clean towel gently drying around
and under each nail. Push each cuticle back with the
towel.
4. Massage Cuticle Mousse into each finger from the first
knuckle to the lunula.
5. Using the gray portion of Amera's Tri-Color Buffer,
buff Cuticle/Treatment Oil into each nail. Wash the
Tri-Color Buffer with Creme de Vuee to remove oil.
Towel dry and allow to completely air dry before using
again.
6. Apply Cuticle Softener to the base of each nail gently
massaging it into the cuticle and skin surrounding the
nail. Pack a small amount under each nail and leave on
over night.
7. Take a shower/bath in the morning washing with Creme de
Vuee making sure nails are clean before proceeding
with the remainder of the Basic Manicure Steps.
OR
do step #1, rinse nails under warm water, dry, apply Cuticle/Treatment Oil with Tri-Color Buffer and then proceed to the Basic Manciure Instructions beginning at the Cuticle Softener. Be sure to wash the Tri-Color Buffer and allow it to dry before using it during the buffing portion of the manicure sequence. *You may want to designate an old Tri-Color Buffer for use when buffing in oil.
