You can purchase them at Target, Wal-Mart, etc. They have become very inexpensive ($60), but the machine probably will not last as long as the one I have (medical grade and lifetime guarantee), but you will not be using it as much as I am. You can purchase a system and then get your wax at a Sally's or some public supply house. Use a good hand lotion or even better would be a face cream. I suggest your exfoliate your hands, put the face cream on and pay special attention to your cuticles (I like Amera's Cuticle Mousse) and put the paraffin wax on followed by a plastic bag (I get gallon freezer, non zip lock at the market) and wrap them up in the special gloves that come with the system (or wrap towels around your hands). Let it set for about 10 minutes. You can do this daily if you want, but once or twice a week will work great. I also would suggest that you put Amera's Cuticle Softener on just before you get in the shower and before you get out, take your cuticle brush and brush the cuticles. You will be surprised at how great your cuticles look in just one week.
