Let's start with the Basic System.
Contained it this is all you need for several months to do a basic water manicure and to start rehydrating your nails.
Contained in this system is:

Non-acetone polish remover.
This formula is made from fruit acids and is made from acetate. It takes polish very fast. If using a gauze pad, not cotton, it may last up to a year if you are removing polish off weekly.

The file and buffer.
These are exclusive to Amera. It is made from aluminum oxide crystals. The same material dentists use to smooth teeth. The file is a life time file and will not wear out. It needs to be cleaned by brushing with soap and water periodically to keep its abrasive surface. Putting this in the dishwasher once a week keeps it in great shape, or putting it in an 8 oz. glass of water to l Efferdent tablet will work too. If not cleaned,it becomes smooth from the oils and nail dust and does not work very well. It can get wet and some feel their nails are smoother when using wet. The use of this file does not cause splits and fracture in the nail like an emery board or diamond file. With the use of the file and buffer you can get a glass smooth edge on your nails.
The buffer is made of the same materials suspended in latex. It looks like a tri sided buffer from the local beauty supply, but it is not the same. This buffer will last several months depending on how much you use it. You should do most of your filing with the file and use the buffer just to finish off.

The cuticle softener has a lot of lanolin and used to soften the cuticles, not remove them. Removing the cuticles causes them to grow back thicker than before. By using the softener you can loosen any tissue needing to be sloughed off. This little tube is great for elbows and cracked feet before the pedicure. It is extremely healing, so you can use it on hands too. If you have dry cuticles, then applying Mousse, 15 minutes later apply the Cuticle Softener. Do this before bed. You can use this during the day to protect the cuticles from water, gardening, etc as it is water proof. I like to put it on before I get in the shower and use the cuticle brush while in the shower. It helps keep cuticles in tip top shape.

Creme de Vuee is a cleanser, not a detergent. Your hands will feel like you have put lotion on them after cleansing your hands with Creme. I keep it by every sink in the house and I shower with it. If you have dry skin, use it in the shower and men/women love to shave with it.

The brush. Ok, what is so unique about the cuticle brush you say? Well, this brush has gotten more comments in the 7 years I have used this product. It is made of rounded edged bristles so as not to tear tissue. It is designed on one side to clean under the nails without breaking the hyponchium. The other side is designed to brush the cuticles without tearing the tissue and to help stimulate the blood flow. Everyone loves this brush.

The Hand & Body lotion is great because it goes into the skin and does not sit on the surface like mineral oil. Within 60 seconds you can touch silk and leave no marks. It is light and scent free.

Last, but not least is the Cuticle Mousse. Our little pot of gold. It is used twice daily (not less than twice) to rehydrate and feed the martrix, nail and cuticle area. If you have nails that peel, split, tear, then you probably have dry nails and are in need of rehydration. The first thing you will notice is that your hang nails will disappear in about a week with the use of Mousse. Everyone needs Mousse.
I can not stress enough the use of ALL PRODUCTS in this system. This system works together to give you the nails you desire. If you do not use the products together, you may not get the desired results the company promises. It is like baking an apple pie. If you take the apples out of an apple pie will it taste the same? Of course not, then this system will not work completely with items removed from it. Each item has a purpose.
There are 8 pieces to this system. You will receive instructions and a colored step by step brochure (I put the step by step in my systems, the company does not) on how to do each manicure. It comes with in a large plastic tote to keep all products together.
