Subject: Product Review Nail Treatments

Natural Nail Protein Treatment contains protein from a vegetable source, calcium, is designed to bond nail layers together, and is for use while nails are healing from damage. It can be "spot applied" or applied to the entire nail. It is also a very effective topcoat. Like Nail Endure it is not completely removed with Nail Lacquer Cleanser & Remover. Each nail needs to be checked for stability and firmness prior to applying additional coats. Be sure and leave a "horseshoe" all around the sides of the nail and near the cuticle, and matrix. This distance also allows Amera's hydration products to be absorbed by the nail helping to retain flexibility in the sides of the nail.

Nail Endure strengthens and seals nails by bonding to the uppermost layers of nail. Its formulation originally came from what is used to seal children's teeth in dentistry. Nail Endure is not totally removed from the nail with the use of Nail Lacquer Cleanser & Remover. Therefore there may be sufficient Nail Endure left in the nail. Check each nail for stability prior to reapplying. Maintain distance from skin as with Natural Nail Protein Treament.

Calcium Plus adds surface strength and thickness to the nail. It is totally removed from the nail with Nail Lacquer Cleanser & Remover. It can be used as a topcoat to extend manicure life. Base Coat or Rejuvenating Base Coat needs to be applied to the bare nail prior to any application of Calcium Plus. Calcium Plus does not contain formaldehyde or toluene. It is a thicker product and does require more "drying time" than other Amera treatments.

Base Coat protects the nail from absorbing Nail Lacquer color molecules that cause yellowing and staining of the nail. It forms the foundation for our manicure. It contains tiny nylon fibers to increase surface strength and give texture for the next layer to adhere to.

Rejuvenating Base Coat contains aloe Vera gel, purified water, and other moisturizing ingredients to help nails gain and retain moisture. Contains no formaldehyde or toluene. Dries to a sheer look. Perfect for French Manicures. In dry climates, in the winter, or when nails are dry or damaged, use this Rejuvenating Base Coat as your foundation coat.

Nail Premiere ads holding power to your manicure. Nail Premiere increases adhesion between Base Coat and Nail Lacquer. It dries to a slightly tacky finish. When refreshing your manicures apply a coat of Nail Premiere then your new coat of Nail Lacquer, Top Coat or Extra Strength Top Coat. For those who have problems holding a manicure on their nails, try Nail Premiere as your first base coat, then apply Base Coat, Nail Lacquer, Top Coat Nail Dry, or Extra Strength Top Coat.

Extra Strength Top Coat with its distinctive gold cap is a specialty treatment. Extra Strength Top Coat is applied immdeiatly after completing the application of the second coat of lacquer and while the lacquer is still wet. Extra Strength Top Coat dries in minutes to a long lasting finish. Nail Dry is not needed with Extra Strength Top Coat. If you plan on using this topcoat to maintain your manicure the surfact must be made "wet" with a coat of Premiere, or Nail Lacquer prior to application. Busy women appreciate the set up time on their manicure using this Extra Strength Top Coat.

Top Coat with the while cap is wonderful all-purpose topcoat. It is durable and can be applied to a cured manicure. It is important to refinish your manicure every day or so with a fresh coat of Top Coat.

Nail Dry is used with Amera's regular white capped Top Coat. Using it helps to shorten the Top Coat's drying time. It can be applied to other treatments if the manicure sequence is interrupted. Just be sure and wash the nails and allow them to dry before resuming your manicure. Nail Dry adds sheen to the finished manicure and lubricates the cuticle. The volatile solvents it contains help to "pull" to the surface the gases expediting the drying process. What is left behind is a coat of silicones, an oil, which further protects the manicure and conditions the skin. To increase the effectiveness of Nail Dry apply three coats in secession. Alway complete your manicure with Nail Dry if you have used Amera's white capped Top Coat. Anytime a new coat is applied to a cured manicure the lower levels of the manicure become unsettled and soften reacting to the solvents in the new coat. Applying Nail Dry will help protect your manicure while everything recures. The brush on Nail Dry is stiff. A good way to use this brush is to let the Nail Dry flow off on the brush onto the nail and then stroke from the base of the nail to the tip.
