just a few pointers regarding beating balthazar... use different powers when his armor is different colors (it takes forever to kill him if u dont do this... in fact i never have killed him w/out doing this)when his armor is:

red use water
blue use wind (earth+air)
yellow use acid (earth+water)
green use lava (earth+fire)

after you hit him with an element combination that is strong against him he will change his armor to the color that that element combination is weak against. anticipate this and change your power while he changes his armor. example: if his armor is red and you hit him with water he will change his armor to blue, while he does this change to your wind power (earth+air). he will probably not have much of a chance to even attack you if you do this properly. it takes a while to get hang of what powers to use but you'll get it eventually.

your elemental powers will probably run out pretty quickly (especially water and earth). dont worry, there is a multicolored globe behind one of the machines along the edge that will replenish all of your elements. get it when one of your elements runs out. one last word of advice... use a smash shield (water+earth+fire). you should be able to beat him without getting hurt if you use this shield and jump whenever he jumps (if you dont jump when he jumps the shockwave caused when he lands may hurt you). dont let your shield drop and you'll do fine.

try not to use cheats or codes to beat balthazar... they really take a lot away from the game. if you do the things above he is actually quite easy to defeat. good luck!
