Every country has the right, even the duty, to defent its people against any attack. The US wages wars against terrorists, drugs and poverty, while Israel must, and does, defend itself against the terrorists that not only kill quite innocent civilians, but also eventually want to take over that country.
..... Israel is an important ally and outpost of democracy in that part of the world, and also therefore gets US aid.
