I have also DC10 upgraded :) to DC30+, when i play any movie (MJPEG commppresed only of course, it does,t work with any other compression) tv-out starts automatically, in any player.
You can try standalone program for playing. It can be found here:

but I don't use it. Standard Media Player is enough.
