I started playing NG with my offset, oversized head clubs. Pull-hooking was pretty frequent so I made stance adjustments to compensate. Needless to say, the results were less than stellar. This spring, I play-tested and kept a set of custom woods and irons. The irons have no offset and midsize heads. The woods are somewhat oversize, but there's no offset. My distance has never been tremendous, but my accuracy and swing repeatablility have increased significantly. I'd say if you can afford new clubs with no offset, get them before you build the habit of a bad stance.
