Subject: Golf Full Swing Fundamentals?

What is fundamental to a good full swing in golf?

I mean beyond the fact that you need to deliver the club head to the ball, (generally) square to the target line and at the correct inclination (effective loft and descending or sweeping blow as appropriate).

What do you need to do/see in your body positions. These are the things that if you don't do/see them you KNOW you need to work on them.

For me, as you might imagine since I use IMA, impact position is important and fundamental: Nose over rear knee, left arm in line with club shaft (or hands slightly ahead of clubhead), right arm slightly flexed, legs flexed, 'facing' the ball. Also the "6/100s" position is important - apx. 90 deg. angle between shaft and left arm when the shaft is horizontal in the downswing

I believe that if I attain these positions in a swing I will hit the ball well (assuming the static setup details like grip are correct). As a result I prioritize my practice to achieveing these.

What are these fundamentals for you?

Peter
