He didn't drop much (finished 6th) and was in the next to last group but the onle coverage I saw of Walter Morgan on my tape (I missed the beginning) was his last putts on 18!

If you're not on top, you're toast.

However you did get to see some short backswings. They did a swing comparison of Trevino and Doyle and neither one has their left arm much past horizontal in their backswings. About the same as Moe now. They both sustain almost 90 deg. of left arm/shaft angle until the shaft is horizontal.

Doyle has much less trunk rotation pre-imapct than Trevino. In the range of Moe. Doyle also has a bit of a 'lunge' move ala Moe.

Trevino has a much flatter to bowed left wrist than Doyle (no wonder his comments about his low shot pattern).

I really wish I could have made it this year (or that I had broken the rules and videoed last year). Television is better than stills but I seldom see the angles I want (unless they are doing an analysis) and the shutter speeds they normally use don't stop the motion (again unless they are doing an analysis).

Peter
