Subject: Angled or down the line

In the continuing saga to discover the secrets of the short backswing, I purchased a season pass at the driving range, and hit two cones of balls a day. I am hitting the ball great, but walk like an 85 yr. old man!

I have made an observation that I thought might be worthy of discussion. I used to put the clubhead behind the ball, and it was angled, with the heel of the clubhead closer to the ball. However, when I checked the Journeyman tape, Moe has the clubhead facing right down the line of flight. With the driver, due to the length of the shaft, it is just slightly open.

When I got the idea that Moe wanted to hit this area as a straight line into the ball, it became much easier to understand, and to execute the under the hips move.

Wanted to see what you think?

Remington
