I do not think it would be a contest. I am 63 and have been playing 6 months. I shoot in the 90's with a low score of 94. I live in the largest golfing village in the US and work on one of the courses. I shoot a lower score than over half of the golfers here who have been playing for years.

I also watch the lessons given by the local pro's. If it took me as long to learn to hit a baLL as it does for the beginners at the range, I would not have stuck it out.

It would be no contest as to who would hit the ball better.
