Remington may have a different answer, but I used the underhand throw/skipping stones image for a while. The results on shots was excellent but I had to abandon it due to elbow pain. I did not video at this time so I don't know objectively the results on positions inthe swing.

My image was of throwing the clubhead into the ball vs at the target. Depending on the trajectory/spin I wanted, I would imagine throwing the club head at a steeper/shallower angle or from the inside/outside. The key to making this work was to insure that the right elbow led the 'throw'. This delayed the 'flick' of the right wrist at the end of the throw so that everything would be in the correct position at impact. If elbow did not lead enough, all bets were off.

The elbow lead I needed proved to be much more extreme than I was used to but I had never pitched/quarterbacked seriously.
