A push is a downswing move initiated by the right side of the body, traditionally the right hand goes straight away from the right shoulder. This in turn pushes the elbow into the slot, and also forces a lateral move to the left of the lower body. Jack Kuykendal in his LPG tapes explains this move very well, as does Peter Croker in his videos.

A pullers swing is left side dominent where the left arm/shoulder pull the club back down into the slot. 90% of conventional golf taught, is the one variation or another of the puller swing.
