I've read reference to this but I cannot see it in the videos I have. Evetually I hope to have my PC set up so I can capture positions and analyze them. Maybe I will pick it up then.

Moe is one of the people in the infomercial that maintains the angle. What I wonder based on my recent experience is does he release his hands or do they release (conscious vs. automatic)?

This is similar to his statement in 'Pipeline Moe' except he used his left hand (palm facing ground) to demonstrate. This may fall in the category of feel vs. reality. In many cases it is not a problem that they don't match you just need to get whatever feel gives you the desired results.

This is the benefit of this type of forum. Each person may feel things differently and you are more likely to get exposure to lots of different 'feels' the wider the participation.
