Interesting; I did not have the contact problem. But when I started this I was just swinging in space. I only moved to hitting a spot after I felt I could recognize the feel.

For me it feels like I don't completely extend though the video clearly shows that I do. After more work with the video it became clear that I had confused the feeling of left wrist breakdown with extension. As a result this swing feels 'tight'. I was also suprised at the rotational force through impact. No holding off this release!

I was a little concerned if I would get the same distance with this 'tight' feeling until I went to the range. Results were slightly more distance with much less effort.

Try a few swings in space (no contact). This makes it easier (at least for me) to just step outside for a few swings and then duck back to avoid the weather. ONLY focus on maintaining the tension.

Let me know how it goes.

Peter
