Subject: NG, IMA, LPG

Are the various single-axis swings really all that different? It seems to me that they are all very similar. They all originated from students of the best ball striker ever, right?

The LPG swing has you bend your left elbow on the back swing, but on the down swing it gets straight again, I think. And from that point forward it looks the like NG to me.

The IMA swing goes higher on the backswing and allows the back foot to come up before striking the ball. But, for the most part, it looks like NG to me.

My guess is that if one practiced any of the above swings enough they would become very proficient at it.
