If you've heard some of the jokes I've been receiving you'd be screaming, "Oh, my god!" They're more appalling than anything I've ever said or even implied at this board. And, I think that's saying a lot. Even though I'm still tempted to repeat them ~ I'll just have to refrain in order to keep this board at a seemingly low X-rating.

I acquired 'Serpent' on account of the fact that I didn't like the nickname "Cobra." I felt like being called "Cobra" somehow meant I was a member of the Hell's Angels. You know, to me, it sounded too much like a drunken, redneck biker gang handle. Plus I didn't feel like going through all that hazzing. *queue the canned laughter* I acquired the name "Cobra" because my friends (at the time) said I was too abrupt and blunt for my own good. Sometimes to the point of sounding insulting, downright harsh, and/or completely insensitive. I've never thought of myself as a totally sensitive person, but I didn't think I was that bad to the point of people considering my words to be venom-like. Now that I think about it, that's kinda harsh in itself. Well, anyways, people kept calling me "Cobra" and I fuckin' hated it. So, I went to look up something better (in mostly religion), and while flipping through I found the Gnostic belief and how "The Serpent" (in that belief) was the carrier of knowledge. So we all met a compromise and put the "Cobra" to death, and the Serpent was born.

Now I wish I did a little more research. I'm such a fickle person, anyways. Sometimes I want to change my nickname to however I'm feeling at the time. Further more, I'm much more into politics than I am into religion now. Maybe serpent sort of encompasses it all, though. It's also offensive to a lot of people. I remember liking that aspect of the name. Although, now I'm into offending people on a much more creative level. =o)
