This may come as a surprise, but they're free now.

*gasp!*

And why is that?

Because they were not brain dead enough to take the slavery.

Most of them fought for their rights as citizens.

How about this; why don't you tell people like Martin Luther King Jr. that he was risking the lives of his people, and didn't care. Tell the white and black men and women, who helped to free more than one hundred thousand slaves, through the underground railroad, that they were risking the lives of their people, and didn't care.

Either way, you're going to offend somebody. Meaning, I'd rather offend a slave, so that he or she might try to free themselves, than to offend someone who is free, or trying to free themselves. That would be ludicrous.

Therefore, my comment wasn't brain dead at all. Actually, your post kinda makes you look like you were, or you are, for slavery.

Me? I'm completely against it.

Remember, white people have been slaves, as well. Also, remember, I still believe that we're under a form of slavery. So, should I be that upset if I happen to offend a slave or an ancestor to a slave? At one point, an ancestor of mine was probably a slave.

What I said wasn't shocking, or brain dead, at all, actually.
