A lot of things that go on in those neighborhoods are, even now, hardly mentioned. I think the L.A. riots, all that stuff with the police beatings, and the video tapes exposed (exploited) a lot more of it.

Here, in Tennessee, most of our project neighborhoods are hispanic, mexican, and african, and they are constantly harassed by the police due to their race, and there's always someone getting shot at, and, yet, there is nothing about this in the local news. If it is mentioned, the media throws out a psychological edge by saying stuff like, "another gang (or drug) related murder today on Dickerson road."

Kinda sad, really.

Anyways, I'm wanting my band to cover that song.
