But it seems to me that sugar is pushed like a drug in marketing schemes. McDonald's hamburgers are kids' favorites because they put sugar in the bun, meat, and "secret sauce." Sugar based cereals are pushed heavy, so that kids scream at their parents in the store until the parents relent. Sort of a free market Orwellian phenom from 1984.

I think schools should remove soda machines and replace them with juices. Call me prudish I suppose. The school's argue that it's a source of money. Well, I think they would buy the juice if that's all that was available. And if money is the only concern, why not sell the kids drugs? You'd make much more.
