Subject: Saw X-2 last night

I liked it. My wife was disappointed that special effects and pointless violence had replaced the character and plot development of the first movie. I kind of agree with her, except that I was engaged. They did a great job with Nightcrawler. I agree that the liquid adamantium scene was over the top, and the scene with fascist stormtroopers shooting at the kids was disturbing. But it was mostly "comic book violence," per the genre.

Anybody notice how useless Cyclops was in this episode? He only used his powers twice in the movie, and each time he got his ass kicked by a girl!
