One time I was gonna cook for two other jehovahs witnesses but I fell asleep with the chip pan on.I was woken by loud banging on the door but as my friend Bruce was a loud knocker I just thought,"Bruce is a bit keen today!"
When I reached the kitchen which was next to the front door,I saw flames from the cooker to the ceiling.After putting the fire out I awaited my friends reaction,both brought a smile to my face despite it all.
Bruce told me he was admiring the lovely christmas tree in my kitchen when it occured to him I didnt have one.
My other friend Gwen an elderly lady of Malaysian origin,just looked at me and said the classic line,"I guess dinners off?"
