I was on the edge, maybe a year ago, wondering if I was going to be able to have a place to stay. I could always go back to my parents (riiiiiight), but I decided to pay attention to where the money's going. The key thing is not to buy things at random and don't eat stuff you can't afford. I think I lost about twelve pounds eating crackers and drinking generic juice, if not just water. Maybe sometimes I'd treat myself to some sprite or something. Although, now, I won't touch anything made by pepsi or coka-cola.

I don't know, though. I've had some friends who have been on the streets or living in their cars and they didn't like it one bit. Or giving money to missions which actually has a lot of people there from mental hospitals and simply can't support themselves in any real job and have been cut off by Clinton's welfare cuts and Bush ramming it even further up our asses. Kinda pisses me off when I talk to a women who was knocked up by a crack head, and, gee, what a surprise, he offers no child support, and unless you're sitting on your ass you can't get the five hundred dollar a month welfare check. So, you're fucked either way.

Other problems are, well, what are we gonna do to make money when we live in piss-poor slums? Sell drugs? Yes. Either that, or do them. Because, to a lot of people, there's no other hope or alternative.

I think the homeless who strived to raise that money still didn't raise enough for all of them who raised it to actually live in a real apartment. Imagine about fifty five homeless people living in a one bedroom apartment. That's a reality for a lot people... still. And it's getting harder and harder to climb that latter. And once you get to the top, there's nothing really special up there anyways. So, as we human batteries energize the system, others get fat off our work. Who wants that? It's like a modern form of slavery. It's corporate feudalism. And if you're poor and haven't had much education, and this is all you see. It's not a very bright future no matter where you go.
