That is funny. I am opinionated. Sometimes to the point of being a jerk. My mother constantly tells me to get down from my soapbox.

But I do not think I put together my thoughts about hatred. The foundation to the hatred is the collective bruised ego of the Arab/Muslim people. As a people they are taught to be proud, and to do so they need to be proud of something. This is cultural, and goes back centuries. This foundation is not conscious. It finds expression through the hatred that is peddled daily to the population to the US and Israel. We have become the target (like the Jews became for Hitler). It is easy to find reasons to hate the US. They are poor, we are rich (like the Hitler/Jew analogy-is it any wonder that Muslims repint Nazi pamphlets?). If you take a poor person, teach them fundamentalistic views, you can effectively program them to act a certain way. This is what we see in their willingness to die. This hatred is planted, cultivated, and harvested by the people that gain the most from it.

I just did not think listing the US has made in foreign policy was necessary. We agree here. But this is a result of media influence too. The public gets too many negative stories to maintain support for actions. Therefore the US is forced to send in the troops, them remove them quickly, and not spend more money. This affects how we fight too. We do not want casualties because of the media coverage, instead of just saving lives, so we just try to bomb.

George wants war because it will make his friends richer, like his tax reforms. This way when he is out shortly, he will get huge fees to speak to his republican cronies at lectures etc. I would rather read about Monica Lewisky than hear about how they robbed the poor and middle class (I hate hearing about Lewisnky if you were wondering).
