Subject: bringing this over...

Wrote this tonight and I never see you guys around my place so I figured I would bring it on over.

yesterdays and today...

Anywho to the story. About a week and a half ago my younger childrens dad brought a little chickadee into my house. A crow was picking on the little baby bird so we figured it could stay in the house...it wasn't flying. I am a little afraid of birds not knowing how they will react to me...mostly that they will fly into me and start pecking me...I am sure this is from a movie I saw as a child. It was kinda odd as two of these types of birds had flown into my picture window the previous week...the first time I was noticing them all flying around my place and was actually surprised at the number of them...then bang one right into my window and flew off. The second time it happened was even weirder as I was talking to a girlfriend on the phone telling her about this when all of a sudden all these little birds start appearing again and bang another one hit my window...I was freaked out to say the least. Ok so back to bringing the picked on bird into my house...the bird stayed most of the day in a box and seemed to be rather content but I knew we had to let it go...so we got it back outside and put it back into one of the pine trees in front of the house and it bounced and hopped up the branches and everything looked ok. We managed to save the little bird from the claws of the crow.

By now you are probably wondering where I am going with all of this.

So I was thinking to myself that crows are just plain old nasty. Then last night I was thinking more on all of this and figured they must show some sign of niceness but wondered why I could never realy get very close to them. I thought to myself would I be able to feed a crow and then this morning as I was taking my daughter to the bus we see two crows...she mentioned that they were mean because of the little birdie incident no sooner then she said this one flew off and one stayed...we were about three feet away from it and it just stood there looking at us. She says to me I have never been this close to a crow and I am thinking the same thing and my thoughts of the night before run through my mind. She was excited to be so close.

So now I ask myself can I ever tame a crow?
