There are a lot of stupid reasons why women break-up with men, but mental and/or physical abuse is just something that happens, and you shouldn't leave because of that?!

A woman, I know, who was hit in the back of the head ("not hard") made her leave a marriage that lasted seven years.

A sixteen year old girl has a boy friend who verbally abuses her all the time, and she wants to be hooked up with another guy, but she won't leave her recent boy friend.

My mom, who left my dad, said she was hit many times, and deserved it. Because if she wasn't hit, then she would have probably killed him.

Why did she leave him? Because he was hardly ever home, and an increasing amount of arguments. Not because he hit her.
