Subject: I have watched a bird take it's first flight

My oldest son, Hyym, has really begun to read. The ensuing burst of knowledge and awareness is amazing.

I watch him read new stories with awe and glee of doing something totally new.

I watch him read new words and make them part of his experience. Example "shaman" - he read it and now can use it correctly while referring to the story.

I see his eye open in wonder and learning and I have never seen anything so beautiful.

I hope that his eyes will continue to see me honestly, even though I will miss the childhood adoration towards "Daddy" or "abba" as he calls me.

I just wanted to share this with you all.
