This is a case of a crafty writer telling the story of yet another person that gained wealth and has become detached. I wonder how well he will do in Australia?

Why is the country that made him rich so bad? Because he no longer is comfortable in the day to day struggles that make us human. He wishes to change this in his life, not only for his children.

When real life ends for us, we search for different things to make us feel safe. He feels threatened because he now feels he has much to lose. We all have things to lose, but real people know that change is healthy, and we should not become so attached to anything that the fear of its loss will keep us from living our lives.
