Refraining from asking the question why you're so happy with our government if it's (by your theory) pulling this apparent wool over our eyes, and making our whole country, and what we stand for, a farce.

Refraining.

Anyway, I think most of it changed nearly after the seventies. Either that, or companies just knew that they could control Carter. And you know it's whatever's going to make money.

To vote for policemen wouldn't start off corrupt until people lost interest in the whole idea. Kinda like the presidential election. They need to spiff these elections up. I almost feel like they make 'em boring on purpose.

Sure, what people don't understand, and what they don't want to understand is a part of it, too. But this could easily be solved by breaking things down. Bringing the government out from behind closed doors. Bringing big business out from behind closed doors. Info-tain people, instead of simply boring them to death. Offering more opportunities for social life as well as political interests and environmental interests.

Bring back community meetings that involve the people's state, town, city, or county, and let the people feel like they have a say in all issues. and then more people will feel like they do make a difference.

Down with double speak. No more two sided bouts of information. For instance; a medical program comes on HBO asking the important question, "Is Cancer Hereditary or Environmental?" HBO comes to the conclusion that it's Hereditary. End of story. Or so we think. The exact next day an English newspaper, I think The Guardian, out of Manchester, comes out saying, "Cancer is caused by the environment."

Ah, gotcha. Now we're supposed to pick which one it is.

That bit of confusion is called double speak! I want that taken care of, or cleared up if and when it happens.

Also, the news itself is sponsored by commercials. We all know this. However, what some might not know is that over the years the actual news time has been cut in half. And if channel 2 wants to zero in on a McDonalds scandal, or a Coca Cola or Nike scandal, they might offend the sponsors, and no longer have them sponsoring channel 2. Or even worse, get sued. It's happened, and it's a reason why they don't talk about Nike using sweatshop labor, and all that.

Instead, you go to, "We're live here with Mr. Nobody, and behind me is a charred hulk that used to be Mr. Nobody's house."

"How do you feel about this, Mr. Nobody?"

Mr. Nobody: "Wahhhhh!!!"

Then the weather, then the sports. And that counts for local news.

So, I think there should be a twenty four hour pay channel called, "The News Channel."

I can picture some old guy saying, "This better be the real news, goddamnit. I ain't paying sixty five (or whatever) dollars to watch nonsense."

So, real people will be checking it out.

Hell, we have the Golf Channel.

The News Channel isn't that crazy of an idea.

I'm getting tired, but I have a lot of ideas on the way!

I bet you can't wait.

Please note the sarcasm.
