Subject: no, she's too deadly

She's not exactly a people-loving creature. She really hates to be handled, so I don't do it much. Plus she's so strong, it takes me over an hour to get her into her tank when she doesn't wanna go (which is always). If she felt like it, she could strangle me and there's not much I could do about it, so I don't put her on my shoulders or anywhere near my neck. Don't want to end up on the Darwin Awards page, LOL.

I think someone hurt or dropped her when she was a baby, maybe. She is perfectly fine with being stroked or pushed around if she's on the ground, but if you start to pick her up she gives you the death grip. She's squeezed my arm so tight and for so long it turned white and I started to get a bit concerned, LOL. And if she sweeps something else up grabbing on to you it can be really painful when she digs it into you trying to hang on. It's a real struggle forcing her to let go while still staying gentle, y'know?

As a kid we had a California King snake that would ride around in my beltloops all the time, though. I miss that snake, he was really friendly and comfy with people. My boa is more wild, I guess. Ah well. :)
