Subject: haven't finished the house by a long shot...
In reply to: shauna 's message, "sure do..." on 09:39:55 07/26/02 Fri

We pretty much have done nothing since mid-April. Life got in the way, and since we had gotten the kitchen to a functional point (base cabinets, plumbing, stove, etc are done) we sorta let it slide while we dealt with other things. This weekend we're going to pick it all back up though, things will start moving again... Still waiting for some of our backordered cabinets, but we have plenty of painting and such to keep us busy in the meantime. Still haven't even touched the hallway, master bedroom, main bathroom, or my office. Or the roof, the windows, the landscaping, the garage, the fences, or the exterior.... Ugh, what was I thinking!? *laughs at self* Some of the exterior stuff we'll be hiring out though...the roof and the exterior painting, mainly. We haven't decided what to do with some of the exterior "features" - painted plywood might have been fine in the 70's (maybe, I doubt it), but it just looks ratty and cheap now so we're looking at installing faux stacked stones above the garage and in the front door "well" where the plywood is now... This house is going to look *nothing* like it used to, I tell ya'... (That's a GOOD thing)

Thanks for the "good luck" with the new career... Though I hope not to need it, LOL. :) School starts in 3 weeks, and I'm surprised at how EXCITED I am about it, I have always hated school with a passion. :)
