You state that because perfection isn't on any map it doesn't exist. That seems like a silly criteria for existence. Did North America not exist before it made it's way onto any map? What about the unmapped regions of the universe? Will they not exist until they are mapped? how can we map them if they are not there because they don't exist?
Now, if we are going to be punished for not reaching a goal we are not capeable of mantaining for any length of time (as we can't be truly perfect for very long) then the whole system would be a fraud.
It is as Drummond says. I won't ever expect my son's writing to be so perfect that it is identical to type. And as you say, as long as it is legible that is our short-term goal.
I am teacher, Serpent. and let me tell you: there is legible, meaning when I turn on all the lights and break down each letter, I eventually decode it. and then there is legible, meaning I can read it without hesitation. So our first short term goal in writing is learning the letters. Then we aim for the above-mentioned first type of legibility, and then the second.
Even if you don't buy reincarnation, some of us are given roughly a century to figure out what we're supposed to do. If this mission was easy there wouldn't be much point in giving us that much time.
