A girlfriend of mine had done a drawing of this woman and I was absolutely captivated by this woman. A picture really does say a thousand words. They have now found her again and have done another story of her in the April issue of National Geographic.
"She's really emblematic of the Afghan Spirit" he said adding that an education fund has been set up by the National Geographic for young Afghan girls.
