JOHN 1*1 Since there is no indefinite article(a) in the Greek language it was necessary for bible translators to insert it where appropriate,so this scripture could justas soon said "And the word was A god" which is much more in keeping with the rest ofthe bible which says he is the son of God.=====JOHN20*28 Thomas calls Jesus "My Lordand my god",this is entirely different to being called God Almighty,question is can Jesus be rightfully called a god and if you look at Jesus own words at JOHN10*34-35 Where he said "Is it not written in your law,I said you are gods,if he called gods those against whom the law came," and yet they accused Jesusof blaspheming because he said he was Gods son,so yes if earthling man may be calledgods,how much more so can Jesus be called a god.
