Subject: American-Russian Arms Pact

I am relaxing in my room, trying to catch up on world events while flipping through the New York Times and something caught my eye. There it says in big print: "POWELL SAYS U.S. PLANS TO WORK OUT BINDING ARMS PACT"
Interesting, I'm intrigued..what did this administration cook up now? Well, the article talks about how last November both countries pledged to cut their nuclear stockpiles by roughly two-thirds over the next decade. However, administration officials (Who the hell is that supposed to be???) resisted Russian efforts to make the agreement formal.
Woopdidu! Isn't that classic. Now, let's balance this equation out, shall we? Hm, less nuclear arms, less possible destruction, less maintainance, etc.. against hm, oh hell, it's pretty obvious that's its better to get rid of those damn things....
Oppenheimer knew it...he knew what he was doing, sadly he realized it too late..what did he say again.."I have become death, the destroyer of worlds" Let's hope that's a sign of guilt and not a vision for our future on this planet.
Now, this reporting shows only one thing to me. The so-called White House officials, or administration officials are obviously either Military or have a Military advisor behind them 24/7.
Another part of this article states that the Bush administration would prefer to store its warheads rather than destroy them. Wow, the logic... it's military logic (a non-existing thing I know..)
Well, let's hope they will agree on some sort of treaty that Bush can't get out of. The Antiballistic Missile Treaty was already broken or whatever political correct word the current administration uses..
Well, well, let's hope Hillary or someone else reasonable will take over in the next term...that's all I am hoping...:)
