I agree with some of Justin's comments. Friday's class was an interesting break in the curriculum. I think everyone, especially Politics majors, should make a point to stay on top of current events. And, as Professor Boaz says, foriegn news outlets are especially good at providing perspectives and news not generally covered in US media.

It's not that hard to explore current events daily or even every other day, but often times I know that I get really overwhelmed with the amount of information available out there. It IS hard to take it all in and weed out the important items from the less-essential things.

Making connections between the material in class and current events is a great practice, and it was cool to be able to talk about those connections during class time.
