Subject: Israel Veto on UN mission

I can't believe the UN gave up its investigation on the alleged massacre in Jenine. I know Israel had the right to veto this decision, because Israel is a UN member, but does it show that there's need something to be done in the UN organziation? The UN is losing all its credibility. I mean, the UN is supposed to prevent war crimes or human rights violation from happening or to denounce them at least, right? So now, all the countries member of the UN can commit war crimes and they want fear anything, because they can veto a UN decision any time? This is surreal. I don't understand.
I am asking both Prof Boaz and the class: Do you think it is normal that Israel vetoed the UN decision to investigate on Jenine? I know it is against it's own interest, but having a word to say shows how the UN is useless basically, and it is powerless. I would love to hear some of you. Thanks in advance!
