Subject: Enron mixings with the Bush Adminiatation

I know that you wanted us to use this message board for more in-class topics, but I just finished watching the "Daily Show with Jon Stuart" and there was an author on who presented some weird information. The author's name is Michael Moore. He talked about this whole Enron collapse and their connections with the Bush Administration and family. One thing he said was that after the terrorist acts of Sept. 11, the Bush administration let a Saudi airplane fly to 5 American cities to pick up Bin Laden family members who resided in the U.S. This all apparently took place during the three days after when there were no airplanes in the air. Supposedly this information was published in The New Yorker. He also said that an article in the New York Times stated that the front money for the Arbusto company, the one that our current President owned, was provided by the Bin Laden company being run by his family. He also stated that the reason why Cheney has not provided information on the meetings that he had with Enron executives is because the Administration, through the Enron Execs, had connections to the Taliban. Supposedly we were trying to convince the Taliban to let us build an oil pipeline that would run through Afghanistan. This apparent connection is the reason why Cheney is denying the congressmen to see his notes. Now I do not know how accurate this information is, especially after seeing it on the Comedy Channel, but if these facts result to be true, this could be a serious conspiracy. I usually don't even bother to pay attention to this type of stuff, but this definately caught my eye. What do you think?
