Straedus nodded his head slightly, though a troubled look remained on his thin, skeletal face.

"Yes... Anything in the name of storms... Do you know the real reason I like storms? Their power. Just feeling the harsh, pounding rain, the surge of electricity in a lightning bolt... The first few storms after my accident, I almost wished one of them would come down and strike me dead, but obviously that didn't happen. It was just...Just knowing that my arm was as good as gone, that I would never use it again... And that there was a good chance that I would never walk again...I ended up being able to, but there are bad days, like today."

His voice faded away gradually, and only minutes later did he realize just what he had said, and how much. He hadn't told anyone the depth of his depression after the accident; not even his parents knew, but his brothers had some idea. A light blush rose to his thin, pallid cheeks, and his brilliant green eyes lowered to the sand before him in embarasment(sp?).
