i switch my grasp around her tiny flailing paws to my other hand that is wrapped around her waist, attempting to hold them against her own torso. with my now free arm i hoist her upwards off the terrain, cradling her bruised and bleeding frame against my brawny upper torso, my grip still tight around her digis.

destination
i emerged from the shadows of the alleyway into the blinding brightness of the sun, my lids lowering partially over aqua pools to block out the glare. i took a quick wild-guess and headed off to my left, hoping, praying, that somehow i would end up at the hospital.
