`In A Trance`

She drew in a deep breath turning her overtly astonished and frightened eyes upon him. They were of a deep, everflowing ocean blue. No tears were evident in them. She had not cried since she was five, no matter how hard she had tried. "I can't." She muttered helplessly. 'Don't listen to him!' The voices sneered as one. 'He cannot help you, only the drugs can! Listen to us!' She felt sick with fear and confusion. Her stomache rebelled against her, threatening to empty the contents of her stomache. She swiped her hand across her forehead, brushing away the beadlettes of sweat. "Please..make them stop..." Her voice sounded distant, as if though someone where carrying it far far away, though her mortal form stayed put. She grasped for his hand as her eyes rolled back in her head, her body becoming limp. She was not unconsious....but something was uniquely wrong.
